To help train future healthcare workers (from Quebec and elsewhere), Clinique JAP offers psychiatric rehabilitation internships in severe mental disorders (psychotic illnesses) to students in occupational therapy, nursing, and social work, as well as medical students (clerkship) and physicians in postgraduate training (psychiatry specialty).

Clinique JAP also welcomes research students at the master's and doctoral levels, for example in biomedical sciences (psychiatry option), psychology, kinesiology, and so on. It also offers introductory research internships to students in medicine and the health sciences.

Clinique JAP offers observerships to mental health professionals or psychiatrists who wish to set up an early intervention service.

It also offers training in early intervention for psychosis lasting from one to five days, covering the organization and implementation of an early and intensive intervention program for psychosis, group therapeutic interventions (including psychoeducation) and case management adapted to young adults with psychosis, individual or group cognitive-behavioural psychotherapy, integrated intervention for substance use in this population, integrated vocational intervention, family interventions, and intervention with “more difficult” populations, for example people who are homeless or have comorbidities, and so on.

Training can be adapted to clients' needs and can take place at Clinique JAP or in the setting where the program is being developed. Case discussions and direct supervision with occupational therapists, social workers, nurses, and psychiatrists can also be arranged in this context.

Training in individual cognitive-behavioural psychotherapy for psychosis, lasting one to four days, is also offered, as is psychotherapy supervision.
